General Motors has put two engineers on paid leave.

This comes as the investigation into a 10-year delay in recalling millions of G.M. vehicles continues.

C-E-O Mary Barra says the move is an interim step as the giant automaker tries to find out what happened.

The parents of a 22-year-old Cornwall, Ontario man who was killed in a crash – are filing suit against G.M. and are saying they should have received a recall notice for their son’s vehicle sooner.

It came 18 months after his death.
