A rare Stradivarius viola could sell for more than $45-million at a Sotheby’s auction.
If the viola does fetch that much, it would set a record for a musical instrument sold privately or at auction.
The summer sale’s being co-organized by instrument dealer Ingles and Hayday.
Only 10 Stradivari violas are known to have survived and this one is one of just two still in private hands.
It was owned by Peter Schidlof of the famous Amadeus Quartet.
