Malaysia’s acting transport minister hosted a technical briefing today where he described how investigators reached the conclusion that the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 plunged into a remote area of the southern Indian Ocean.

And he accepts that China – and some relatives of the passengers cannot accept the findings without concrete proof.

Almost 100 relatives of the victims tried to rush the gates of the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing today, claiming they have not been given the whole truth about what happened.

China says it needs to see the Malaysian data before it accepts the theory about the flight’s disappearance.

Meanwhile, the search for the missing Malaysia airlines jet has been called off today because of the weather.

Planes have been grounded, and even some of the ships involved in the search have moved away from the stormy area.

Experts say even if they find debris, it could have drifted for hundreds of miles in the turbulent seas, and finding the crash site will be extremely difficult.
