Toronto mayor Rob Ford says he’s looking forward to debating the newest contenders for his job in the coming municipal election.
The week began today with John Tory and Karen Stintz officially entering the election campaign – making it 31 candidates registered in the race for mayor.
The four front-runners – Rob Ford, John Tory, Karen Stintz, and David Socknaki – are all on the right of the political spectrum.
There are no prominent candidates on the left.
But NDP MP Olivia Chow has said she is still considering a bid for Toronto mayor in the October election.
