Award winning director, actor and producer Robert LePage has chosen the recipient of the Glenn Gould protege award.

As the winner of the City of Toronto Glenn Gould Prize, LePage was given the chance to name a protege to receive $15,000.

LePage has chosen the Quebec group, L’Orchestre d’homme-orchestre.

The group was founded in Quebec City in 2002 and has performed across Canada and through Europe in a style the group says represents “un-discipline, anonymity, confusion between current arts and popular cultures.”

The group will be in Toronto performing its latest show, “Cabaret brise-jour”, at the Theatre Centre in March.

LePage will present the award on March 29th.
