Canada’s women’s curling team remains undefeated after defeating the rink from Great Britain in the Olympic semi-finals in Sochi. Jennifer Jones and her team defeated the Brits 6-4 to guarantee themselves at least a silver medal. They will play Sweden for gold tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Brad Jacobs and his rink from Sault Ste. Marie play China at 10:00.

The Canadian men’s hockey team will play the upstart team from Latvia at Noon. The Latvians upset Switzerland yesterday.

And there is another hockey upset in the making. Finland is leading the host team from Russia 3-1 in the third period of quarter-final play.

There will be no medals for Canada in parallel giant slalom in snowboarding. Marianne Leeson and Ariane Lavigne made it through the first two rounds, but lost in the quarterfinals. And all six Canadians on the men’s side were eliminated, including defending Olympic champion Jasey-Jay Anderson.
