The gold rush is on with Canada winning a second gold medal of the day at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Defending Olympic champion Alex Bilodeau took the gold with his performance in the men’s mogul while Fellow Quebecer Mikael Kingsbury grabbed the silver. A Russian skiier bumped Marc-Antoine Gagnon out of third place. Canada now has a total of seven medals, three gold, three silver, and a bronze. Earlier today, Quebec’s Charles Hamelin captured the gold medal in men’s 15-hundred metre speed skating. The race is considered his weakest, and Hamelin still has three events to go. Meanwhile Canada’s women’s hockey team improved to 2-and-oh as shutting out Finland 3-0. Canada next plays the rival Americans on Wednesday.
