It’s already a messy morning commute for drivers across southern Ontario. Snow that began last night over southwestern Ontario has spread across the Golden Horseshoe, and the north shore of Lake Ontario and into eastern Ontario. Most areas from Windsor to Toronto to Kingston will likely have already received several centimetres of snow. Total amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres are likely from Windsor to Toronto into eastern Ontario, while Hamilton and Niagara can expect up 20 centimetres.
If you have a flight scheduled out of Toronto’s Pearson or Billy Bishop Airports, you’re advised to check ahead. There are some delays and cancellations. Air Canada has also issued a travel alert for today.
GO Transit is asking customers to leave early because delays are expected.
