Canadian pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen makes her Broadway debut in “Cinderella” tonight. Her love of musicals started at a young age. Movie musicals were among the few things Jepsen was allowed to watch on TV growing up and she took them really seriously. Jepsen says she experienced all the emotions the people in the musicals did and that her brother kidded her that he could watch her face and know exactly what was happening on screen. Former “Nanny” star Fran Drescher is also making her Broadway debut tonight as Cinderella’s evil stepmother. Jepsen says Drescher plays a really ‘evil’, evil stepmother.
