Superbowl 48 turned into super-blow-out for the Seattle Seahawks who toppled the Denver Broncos 43-8 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Russell Wilson tossed a pair of touchdown passes and the Seahawks capitalized on a series of Broncos mistakes in their stunningly easy upset. Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith was named Super Bowl M-V-P. Denver quarterback Peyton Manning, who won his record fifth N-F-L M-V-P award just 24 hours earlier, called Sunday night’s defeat one of the worst big-game performances of his career.
