Despite the threat of death, many Canadian’s who experience a heart attack or stroke don’t change their diet or exercise habits. More than half of respondents to an online poll for the Heart and Stroke Foundation couldn’t make the changes stick or didn’t even try even though they needed to get active or eat better. Doctors say the report shows that survivors need to be more aware of the importance of healthy living and physicians need to ensure patients make the changes last.
