Just a day after tennis sensation Milos Roanic was named Canada’s Male Athlete Of The Year, his counterpart has been named Female Athlete Of The Year.
Eugenie Bouchard received 45 per cent of the votes cast by sports editors and broadcasters from across the country to claim her first Bobbie Rosenfeld Award.
Over the past year, the 19 year old native of Westmount, Quebec rose over 100 positions to claim number 32 in the world rankings.
Yesterday, Raonic earned the Lionel Conacher Award as the country’s top male athlete.
