Imagine the Blue Jays selling out five games in a row.

That’s how many Toronto Hydro customers are still without power because of the freezing rain — 250-thousand.

Officials say try as they might, it could take up to three days – possibly Christmas Day – before everything’s restored.

But that’s not all as more than 40-thousand customers across York region are also in the dark.

Over 2-thousand in Mississauga.

Hydro One says it’s the same story for something like 99-thousand customers across southern Ontario.

The OPP advise you not to drive unless you really must.

If you’re scheduled to fly out today check first as there are cancellations and delays at Pearson and Billy Bishop airports.

Public transit’s also affected.

Streetcars are temporarily not running because the power lines are iced over.

There’s no subway service on the Scarborough RT.

Shuttle buses are running between McCowan and Kennedy stations.
