It’s a new source of information for zoomers. The federal government has created a new website to provide essential information on resources for care givers and patients. Seniors.gc.ca features a centralized portal for federal, provincial and municipal information. Topics include finances, care options, dementia, mental health, other health issues and powers of attorney. Minister of State for Seniors Alice Wong says it’s about taking a step forward to more comprehensive and accessible care giving . But Vice President Advocacy for CARP Susan Eng – says the Care giving Portal is a step in the right direction, but more services are needed.
