It’s an opportunity to own a piece of history from one of New York City’s most notable figures. Furniture, books, letters and art which belonged to former Mayor Ed Koch are going up for auction. Doyle New York is auctioning the items from his Greenwich Village apartment for two days beginning a week from today. Ed Koch died in February at the age of 88.
Among the highlights is a thank-you letter from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The session also includes his burgundy leather club chair and ottoman valued at $300. Other items include his dining room table and chairs designed by Frank Lloyd Wright estimated to fetch $6000.
