Premier Kathleen Wynne’s offer today to intervene in Toronto city council’s conflict with Mayor, Rob Ford is being rejected by at least one city councilor. Sergio Mamolitti says thanks but no thanks. The premier’s offer to provide tools for city council to remove the mayor, comes after Rob Ford caused an uproar with sexually explicit remarks this morning. He was denouncing new allegations against him that he says made him see red. He later apologized. But several councilors reject the apology and want his resignation. The mayor also revealed that he is receiving support and advice from a team of health care professionals and pleaded with reporters to respect his family’s privacy. City council will vote on a motion tomorrow calling on Queen’s Park to intervene.
