It’s time to wear a poppy.
TTC Chair, Karen Stintz proclaimed the official start of the Toronto Royal Canadian Legion’s annual TTC Poppy Campaign this morning.
Last year there were an estimated 18 million poppies sold raising about 12-million dollars.
Poppies are worn to honour those who served Canada in two world wars, Korea and Afghanistan.
The annual campaign runs from the last Friday in October until Remembrance Day – November 11th.
