It’s an anniversary of sorts for Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. It was 3 years ago today voters in Toronto elected Ford to the city’s top political job. In terms of fulfilling campaign promises, the Ford Administration has privatized some garbage collection in the city, got a commitment to extend the subway into Scarborough and has won some budget battles. On the negative side, there is the lingering controversy over an alleged drug video. The mayor will officially mark three years in office on December 7th, the date of his inauguration in 2010. Sunday marks the one-year countdown to the next municipal election.
