The Mayor of Toronto, by his own admission, writes a lot of letters. The latest has surfaced in court documents showing Ford vouching for his friend Alexander Lisi, praising his exceptional leadership skills. The letter was part of a report prepared by a probation officer after Lisi was convicted of threatening to kill his girlfriend. Earlier this month, Lisi was charged with four drug offenses. The Mayor’s brother, Councillor Doug Ford, says that during his brother’s 14 year career at city hall, he’s written any number of letters for people who’ve been in trouble with the law.
