Three separate motions to suspend Senators Mike Duffy, Patrick Brazeau and Pamela Wallin have been introduced in the upper chamber by the Conservative Party leadership.

They are charged with “gross negligence” in managing of public funds.

The three senators are embroiled in expense scandals and all were in the ornate upper chamber when the motion was tabled.

The debate is expected to take several days before the motions come to a vote.
