The U-S Capital area was locked down for about an hour Thursday afternoon after a shooting incident. Initial reports indicate a car tried to ram the barricades at the White House and was then chased for several blocks to an area outside the Capital Building where the female driver of the car, according to CBS News, was killed. A child in the car was not injured. The lock-out was lifted about an hour after it was imposed. Police stress this was not an act of terrorism.
