It’s never been held outside the USA before.

And  in 2016 the N-B-A all-star game is coming to Toronto.

Mayor Rob Ford says he’s thrilled the city will host  the league’s annual event.

Ford says the all-star game  will be a terrific showcase for the city – with an  estimated economic gain of $100-million dollars.

N-B-A deputy commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement today in Toronto.

And ahead of their 20th anniversary, the Toronto Raptors have announced a partnership with Grammy award winning entertainer “Drake.”

He has been unveiled as the team’s global ambassador.
