Rob Ford is on a roll. According to a new Forum Research poll for the Toronto Sun, the approval rating for Toronto’s Mayor is up and on track to break 50%. The survey of just over 1000 Toronto residents this past weekend found 49% of those polled approve of the job Rob Ford is doing as Toronto’s mayor while 51% disapprove. The only time his approval rating has been higher than 49% was during his first few months in office. Forum President Lorne Bozinoff credits the upswing in Ford’s rating to a lack of recent personal controversies. He predicts the mayor’s approval rating could go even higher in the wake of Monday’s announcement from the federal government pledging $660-million for the Scarborough subway extension.
