A recent YouTube video has given the question of doctor assisted death a high public profile.
Deb Matthews, Ontario’s health minister, says the issue will likely come up next week at a meeting of provincial, federal and territorial health ministers.
The end-of-life discussion resurfaced after Doctor Donald Low, known for his work during the 2003 SARS crisis, made a video prior to his death calling for Canada to legalize assisted death.
He died last week at age 68 after suffering from a brain tumour.
