President Barack Obama’s call for the U.S. to take action against Syria, is receiving support from the top Republican in Congress.

John Boehner says his party colleagues should also support the president, after an alleged chemical weapons attack against Syrian civilians.

Boehner says only the United States has the capability and the capacity to stop Syrian President Bashar Assad and warn others around the world that such actions will not be tolerated.

Boehner spoke at the White House today, after he and other congressional leaders met with Obama.
