Air travellers, who’ve been bumped from oversold flights, or had theirs delayed or cancelled, will be reimbursed.
The Canadian Transportation Agency has ordered Air Canada to compensate those flyers by up to $800 each or three times that amount in travel vouchers.
It does not apply to passengers who voluntarily decide to book another flight.
The new rules come into effect September 18th.
