Two Senators are denying a recently published report  about an alleged twist in the expense scandal  involving their colleague Mike Duffy and Prime Minister Harper’s former chief of staff.

According to CTV News,  Conservatives David Tkachuk  and Carolyn  Stewart Olsen  persuaded Duffy to conceal details  of the $ 90,000 dollar cheque he received from Nigel Wright.

Both Tkachuk and Stewart Olsen  call the news report false.

Tkachuk’s office calls the report a complete fabrication  and states that the conversations described did not occur.

Both senators  are members of the committee that  reviews fellow senators’ expense claims.
