Embattled Saskatchewan Senator Pamela Wallin has been ordered to pay $138,970 after a further review of her expense claims. The former broadcaster and Consul General in New York was already on the hook for more than $121,000 and has already paid back more $38,000. This follows an independent audit of her travel expenses dating back to 2009. The Senate has also called in the RCMP to investigate whether criminal charges should laid. Among the more surprising aspects of the audit; documents were altered by Wallin’s office and she lives most of the time in Toronto. Wallin has described the audit as being “fundamentally flawed and unfair.”
