Public health officials in Toronto now say as many as 34 have come down with symptoms of food borne illness at the CNE and as a result, the vender producing the “cronut burger”, will remain closed voluntarily as a precaution. Toronto’s Associate Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Lisa Berger, says they’ll await tests results to determine if Epic Burgers is the source of the illness that caused people to report vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps last night. Toronto Paramedics treated 12 people with symptoms of gastrointestinal illnesses. Five of those people were taken to hospital but none were admitted. Health Officials are urging anyone who became ill after eating at the CNE to contact them. The “cronut burger” is described as a cheese coated beef patty with a croissant-doughnut hybrid as the bun
