Hans Zimmer received the latest of his eight Oscar nominations for his score to the 2011 film, “Inception.”
The 55 year old German composer will receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the Classic Brit Awards this year. The award committee called his work on Inception “a dominant force for classical music specifically in the digital-download era.”
Zimmer has written the scores to 100 films over a 30-year career. He won an Oscar for “Lion King” in 1995.
