Sir Elton John says he is deeply touched by the get-well cards and messages he’s received after undergoing an appendicitis operation. Last month the music legend cancelled a series of shows as he was treated for an inflamed appendix which he called a ticking time bomb. Last week, Sir Elton had the surgery at Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco, near his home in the south of France. He was being treated with antibiotics and his publicist said Monday the appendix has been removed and the musician is recovering nicely.
