Toronto police hope witnesses can help with their investigation into the death of a young man, who fell from a grand parade float at the Caribbean Carnival and was run over.

This happened just before 9p.m. Saturday.

The 18-year old suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he died.

Organizers of the parade are expressing their ”heartfelt sympathies” to the family and friends of the young man.
