Today’s much anticipated meeting between Mayor, Rob Ford and the Provincial Minister of Finance, Charles Sousa has the Mayor crying foul.
The meeting was called to discuss the province’s decision to cut 150-million dollars in funding to Toronto for social services.
Ford says the city is faced with an 800-million dollar repair bill for public housing alone but says Sousa was unsympathetic.
Sousa denies the city will suffer, saying reduced pooling compensation is more than offset by other hikes and loan forgiveness.
The Mayor says he’s being punished for running a financially sound administration.
