The controversial Conrad Black has officially launched his new book in Toronto. It’s a sweeping look at American history where he argues the United States is now in decline. “It’s a history of the United States focusing on the strategic decisions of its statesmen that caused it to move from stage to stage, from a series of colonies to the world’s greatest power,” said Black to Zoomer Media News.
“Flight of the Eagle” is the latest book by the bestselling author of biographies of Roosevelt and Nixon. Conrad Black signed copies of it last night at Ben McNally Books on Bay Street.
Fans in attendance included the first lady of the guitar, Liona Boyd, and former Ontario Premiers Mike Harris and David Peterson. Black explained that history buffs will enjoy his latest read. “People who are interested in the history of the U.S. or even the States as it is now, and how it got that way.”
Conrad Black is also a co-host of “The Zoomer”, coming soon on our sister station, Vision TV. Listen for more about “Flight of the Eagle” on Libby Znaimer’s Zoomer Week in Review, Sunday at noon, on the New AM 740.
