GRAVITY PULLING HADFIELD DOWN

The transition from floating weightlessly in space to Earth’s gravity hasn’t been an easy transition so far for Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield.

He says he feels dizzy — like when you get off an amusement park ride — and his neck and back are sore.

And because there are no calluses on his feet anymore, Hadfield says it feels like he’s walking on hot coals.

Hadfield returned to Earth Monday night after his five-month stay aboard the International Space Station — a trip that included a period as commander of the orbiting station.
