A new poll suggests that Conservative attack ads have not hurt Liberal leader Justin Trudeau’s political fortunes.
Aired within hours of his leadership win last month, the television ads said Trudeau is in way over his head as a national party leader.
A Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey conducted last month suggests the Liberal party had jumped into a seven-point lead over the Conservatives.
The poll put Liberal support at 35 per cent; the highest since 2009.
The Conservatives had 28 per cent support, the New Democrats 22 per cent.
