Another casualty of technological change.
The print edition of “The Canadian Jewish News ” will no longer be published as of June 20th.
CJN president Donald Carr says after 42 years the news comes hard and the decision was made now so the almost 50 staff members could be fairly compensated.
Carr says advertising revenue was declining and not enough readers wanted to pay for the paper.
He says 30,000 to 40,000 copies are being printed weekly these days but the number was once much higher.
The last print run is scheduled for June 20th.
