Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s  executive committee has voted in favour of a casino in downtown Toronto.

The issue now goes to full council for  approval – where all 44 members  will make a final decision.

The Executive Committee spent almost twelve hours hearing from people on both sides  of the casino debate.

About 200 people sat down in a crowded committee room at City Hall  to tell Mayor Rob Ford and his executive what they think of the idea of a casino in Toronto

Most were against the project.
