U.S. federal authorities are looking for suspects and a motive in yesterday’s terror attack at the Boston Marathon finish line.  The twin bombings killed 3 people, wounded more than 140 and triggered widespread panic in central Boston.

Massachusetts State Police say a search warrant has been served in the Boston suburb of Revere, and that it’s related to the attack at the marathon.  But there are no other details and no word of any arrest.

U.S. President Barack Obama reassured his nation in a televised address last night.  “Make no mistake.  We will get to the bottom of this.  And we’ll find out who did this.  We’ll find out  why they did this.  Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups will feel the full weight of justice.”

The Pakistani Taliban has denied any role in the bombings.

While the Boston Bruins Ottawa Senators hockey game was postponed last night because of the bombings,  there are no plans to cancel any marathons or other road races in Canada.  Organizers of the Mississauga Marathon will be meeting this week with Peel Police and City of Mississauga officials to review security plans and safety procedures to determine what adjustments will be made.   Organizers of Toronto’s upcoming Goodlife Marathon are meeting with Toronto Police today to discuss security in the wake of yesterday’s Boston Marathon bombings.  And Mayor Rob Ford says, “the city manager is working with all division heads and city emergency services to assure any upcoming public events are reassessed and remain as safe and secure as possible.”  Mayor Ford says he has spoken with police Chief Bill Blair and city officials about security, but says there’s no unusual threat information regarding Toronto.
