It used to be a mid life crisis came in our 40’s. Now, a new report says we can expect to experience an emotional turmoil in our 60’s. British researchers say a third of people in their 60’s are undergoing a period of questioning the meaning of their life. Psychologists say its often triggered by two or more episodes of loss or bereavement which may lead to a decline in physical and mental abilities. They say it differs from a mid life crisis when middle aged people take stock of their career or life achievements. Lead researcher Doctor Oliver Robinson, of the University of Greenwich, says while some individuals respond with the expected disappointment, other people set new goals for themselves and enjoy a greater appreciation of their surroundings.
