When Toronto’s executive committee debates the casino question next Monday and Tuesday, among those appearing before the politicians will be Dori Segal.

He’s CEO of First Capital Realty, the largest landlord in Liberty Village, where the zoomer also happens to live.

Putting a casino at nearby Exhibition Place would, in Segal’s view, kill the community he’s watched grow the past decade and jeopardize further investment by his company in the area.

Segal says he doesn’t think people want to live next to a casino.
