In a highly unusual move, the Canadian Human Rights Commission is calling in the Mounties to investigate the alleged harassment of a veterans’ advocate.
Former soldier Harold Leduc created a political storm last year when he claimed Veterans Review and Appeal Board members leaked private information about his post traumatic stress diagnosis.
Leduc was a member of the board at the time and charged that the information was leaked in a bid to discredit his decisions.
The human rights commission ordered the veterans board to pay Leduc $4,000 for harassment, which he says it has not stopped.
