Mediterranean diets have been recommended as heart-healthy and now there’s concrete evidence.
Reporter Marilynn Marshione says one of the longest and most scientific tests of a Mediterranean diet suggests it can cut the chance of developing heart-related problems especially strokes, in older people at high risk.
The diet includes olive oil, nuts, fish, chicken, fruit and salads, but not much in pastries.
