At city hall a compliance audit committee has decided not to proceed with legal proceedings against Mayor, Rob Ford for overspending his 2010 campaign limit.

The vote was 2-1.

That means Mayor Ford will not face any further scrutiny of his election spending.

An audit, released earlier this month found the Mayor overspent campaign budget by three per cent and contravened election law.
