Millions of viewers  who enjoy VISION TV on  basic cable and satellite are worried  that the CRTC  will allow distributors  to drop the channel  from their affordable “basic” packages or move it to a location on the dial that is more difficult to find – at a much bigger cost.

The station is the world’s only  multi-faith, multi-cultural outlet and is available in 10 million homes.

Zoomer Media founder Moses Znaimer has launched a campaign called  “PROTECT YOUR VISION”- aimed at keeping the channel on basic cable.

Moses has taken to the CARP website at: carp.ca  to reach out to members  and encourage them to get involved in the fight to save VISION TV.

The website also features a podcast where Moses outlines the situation  in a comprehensive interview with Dale Goldhawk of  The New AM  740 – Zoomer Radio.

The deadline for CRTC  interventions is  February 20th.

The CRTC hearing will be held in the spring of 2013, likely late April or May.

There are a number of ways you can help:

– Call and write a letter to the CRTC, and copy us
– Call and write your local MP, and copy us
– Call and write your cable or satellite provider, and copy us
– Get the conversation started in your own community.
