The latest trends and innovative designs from Canada and around the world are showcased at the Interior Design Show.  It’s at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre until Sunday, and this year, features over 3-hundred exhibits.  Show organizer Karen Kang tells Zoomer Media,  this year, it’s all about patterns.  “So for instance, we paired this KIA car with (artist) Karim Rashid.  Karim has done this psychedelic  car.  Lots of beautiful patterns and bright colours, many layers of paint mixed with bright greens, and yellows, and oranges.”

This year’s show also features a charity auction with chairs from blu dot that have been reimagined by various celebrity designers, artists and illustrators.  Among them is Marilyn Lightstone of the New Classical 96.3FM.  “This one is from a piece of ipad art that I did a number of months ago and it’s called ‘Endearments’.  We’ve got some hearts on it, things like ‘sweet face’, and ‘cuddle bunny’ and ‘cupcake’, all those sort of cutsie words that lovers say to one another.”

Proceeds from the celebrity chair go to “ONEXONE” children’s foundation.  There’s more information online at (interiordesignshow.com)
