The new acting Director of Education for the Toronto District School Board says her goal is to provide the best and most optimal learning conditions for students. Donna Quan is in charge until school board trustees find a permanent replacement for Chris Spence, who resigned last week in the midst of a plagiarism scandal. Quan held her first news conference Friday. She is expected to be in the running for permanent director of Education. But she said it’s only her first day on the job as acting director and she’s not ready to make any commitment about her plans for the future.
