He has confessed to doping, but he’s still fighting.

As expected, Lance Armstrong confessed to Oprah Winfrey, that he took performance-enhancing drugs to win seven Tour de France medals.

But he took issue with part of the U.S. Anti Doping Agency report that said his drug program was the most sophisticated, organized, and professional doping scheme in the history of cycling. Armstrong told Oprah his doping regimen was simple and conservative. He also denied the anti-doping agency’s claim that  he was  the kingpin of the doping program on his team. He said he was just doping the way the rest of his teammates were at the time.

His revelations come after years of staunchly denying he took drugs to win cycling races.

Armstrong has been stripped of his seven Tour de France wins and his Bronze Medal at the 2000 Olympics. Sports authorities are now saying they’d like to have another official conversation with the cyclist.
