Kathleen Wynne and Sandra Pupatello are now the confirmed frontrunners in the competition to succeed outgoing Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty.
Ontario Liberals spent the weekend voting for delegates who will make the final decision at a convention in Toronto the weekend of January 25th.
Pupatello came away with 504 committed delegates. Kathleen Wynne had 463.
Those delegates are only committed through the first ballot. After that, they can vote as they please.
Former MP and MPP Gerard Kennedy came third with 257 delegates. He was runner up to Dalton McGuinty at the last leadership convention in 1996.
The field is rounded out by Harinder Takhar with 244 delegates, Charles Sousa with 198, and Eric Hoskins with 104.
