Leaders of a union representing school support workers vote today on a tentative contract with the province.
The tentative deal was reached last weekend with CUPE, hours before the January 1st deadline allowing the Liberal government to impose contracts on teachers’ and school staff.
If the leaders approve the deal, it will then be voted on by union members in the coming weeks.
CUPE represents about 55-thousand workers, including educational assistants, early childhood educators, instructors, custodians, librarians and secretaries.
